Over the past 86 years, Northern Tier has outfitted a lot of treks and has learned a lot about what makes great gear for the portage trail. If you are ever dissatisfied with a purchase, you may return or exchange the item at our store or by mail (please see below).

To return an item:

Include a copy of your invoice with your return. If you cannot send a copy, please include your order number. Specify whether you want a return or exchange. For an exchange, please indicate which new product you want by providing the item number located on the item's product information page. Include color and size selection if applicable. SHIPPING and HANDLING INFORMATION

All orders ship from Northern Tier Trading Post fulfillment center in Ely, MN. At this time we can only ship to addresses in the United States.

At this time we are not offering any overnight or second day delivery.

Please note: Northern Tier Trading Post determines the most efficient shipping carrier for your order. The carriers that may be used are: U.S. Postal Service (USPS), or UPS. Charges may be subject to sales tax depending on the tax laws of the state the order is being shipped to.
